Hiring Policy

Hire Period

You can make a reservation for 4 days or 8 days ( we recommend 8 days for regional areas due to the postage timeframes). Please be sure to pick a delivery date 1-2 days before your event. Simply select your 'delivery date' when you're making a booking. We'll deliver your dress to you just before the first day of your rental period ('Delivery Date') - you then have to post the dress back to us on the last day of your rental period ('Return Date').  For example, if you selected the 4 day rental period and you received your designer dress on a Friday, you’d drop it in mail on the following Monday by 3pm. If your 'return date' falls on a Saturday or Sunday, simply drop your dress in the yellow Express Postal Box any time on the return date. It'll be shipped back to us in the next business day. Each day its overdue there is a $50 late fee so please return on return date to avoid the extra charges. 


Rental Period and Late Fees

The rental period shall commence upon when the dress is delivered and shall continue until the Dress is lodged at the post office for its return. The item will arrive either one day before requested event date or on the day, depending on when the order was placed.

There is a late charge of $50 per a day for every day the garment is delayed by you. If you lose your return satchel you are responsible to return the garment via track-able express post to La Robe Hire.

Your order will be shipped timely to arrive on hire date (same day or day before). Earliest possible shipping is on the next business day (requiring arrival of order until 1pm the previous day). Please calculate a timely order as we are not reliable for late delivery and will not refund if the dress is not delivered on time.

If the purchaser has not returned the rental item within 10 days after the return date, La Robe Hire will consider the rental item as non-returned and will charge the purchaser’s credit card 120% of the recommended retail value stated at item description minus late fees that the purchaser has already paid. The rental fee will not be subtracted.



Simply place it in the provided prepaid return express satchel and drop it at your nearest Post Office on Monday by 12pm (weekend hire) or on the day after event. Please lodge the return at the post office ONLY and get a receipt for proof of shipping.
